September saw the return of Cheltenham Food and Drink week take over Cheltenham town centre. NR Events worked alongside Cheltenham BID to program and deliver three days of live music and entertainment.
The Event kicked off on Friday night with ‘Band Night.’ Despite a brief tussle with the weather, Crispin took to the stage, setting the tone for the evening . As the night unfolded, the skies cleared, drawing out an enthusiastic crowd. Following Crispin were rock covers by Takin Names, building up the anticipation for the night’s headliners, The Bridge.
Saturday saw the opening of two additional venues across town, an acoustic stage at Montpellier Courtyard showcasing Ben Vickers and Yeti’s Breakfast. Meanwhile, Regent Street came alive with roaming performers – Ultra Tall Juggling Chefs, Sweet Treat Stilt Walkers and a Balloon Modeller.
Over at the Brewery Quarter stage, Rives, Saint Senara, and Tala set the mood for the main event. Saturday night reached its pinnacle with a transformative experience at the Brewery Quarter—two and a half hours of a Silent Disco. DJ LV and DJ Si Ellis each commanded a channel, spinning cheesy pop and dance tunes, creating an atmosphere that dared the brave to dance and entertained the many spectators. Rounding off the evening bringing everyone together with a sing along to Wonderwall!
Sunday brought a more serene ambiance, featuring Mark Harmer, a harpist, and a Piano Hedgehog taking the stage at Montpellier Courtyard. The Brewery Quarter hosted family-friendly entertainment by the Music Man bringing entertainment to the younger generation with his timeless tunes.
The success of the entertainment we programmed helped to increase the footfall into local restaurants and bars over the course of the weekend and the event was an overall success. Collaboration between NR Events and Cheltenham BID resulted in three days of unforgettable live music and entertainment, showcasing the town’s vibrant spirit and community engagement.
